City of Marseilles, Illinois Street Sanitary Manhole & Sewer Rehabilitation

The CITY OF MARSEILLES will receive Bids for CITY OF MARSEILLES, ILLINOIS STREET SANITARY MANHOLE & SEWER REHABILITATION until 10:00 A.M., on the 14th day of July, 2026, at CITY HALL, 200 RIVERFRONT DRIVE, MARSEILLES, ILLINOIS 61341 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The project consists of lining approximately 471 feet of 8-inch diameter sanitary sewer, 462 feet of 10-inch diameter sanitary sewer, 1,418 feet of 12-inch diameter sanitary sewer, and 291 feet of 18-inch diameter sanitary sewer on Illinois Street and Aurora Street. This work also includes lining 61 services connected to these mains and installing a cleanout on each of these services at the right-of-way line. Additionally, this work includes rehabilitating 7 manholes in the project area.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of CITY OF MARSEILLES, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.

This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Attention is called to the fact that 1) not less than the Federal prevailing wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; 2) The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75; and 3) The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Bidders must not be excluded from participating in any federal assistance program [24 CFR 85, Subpart C 85.35; 2 CFR 200.214].

The CITY OF MARSEILLES reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.

Bids may be held by the CITY OF MARSEILLES for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.

The Contractor shall conform to the requirements of a “Responsible Bidder” as defined by City of Marseilles Ordinance No. 922.
