The VILLAGE OF MALDEN will receive Bids for the SANITARY COLLECTION SYSTEM REPAIRS, until 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday the 21st day of July, 2026, at the VILLAGE OF MALDEN VILLAGE HALL, 311 WEST MAIN STREET, MALDEN, BUREAU COUNTY, ILLINOIS 61337 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Work generally includes lining an approximate 4,185 feet of 8 inch diameter sanitary sewer mains, service lateral cleanout installation, T-Liner installation, service lateral reinstatement, and associated appurtenances, and restoration.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the VILLAGE OF MALDEN, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.
This project is funded in whole or in part with grant funds from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Attention is called to the fact that 1) not less than the Federal prevailing wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project; 2) The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3, 24 CFR Part 75; and 3) The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Bidders must not be excluded from participating in any federal assistance program [24 CFR 85, Subpart C 85.35; 2 CFR 200.214].
The VILLAGE OF MALDEN reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
Bids may be held by the VILLAGE OF MALDEN for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
